MRI Signs Major European Retailer
Property Systems Review
March 2003
MRI is pleased to announce the sale of its property management and accounting solution to Delhaize “Le Lion”, the leading Belgian supermarket chain.
Delhaize selected MRI to fulfil the property management and accounting requirements for their portfolio, and will be utilising the extensive reporting and management capabilities of the MRI product suite.
Patrick Chantraine, Real Estate Manager at Delhaize explains: “We were looking for a solution that would improve the accessibility and consistency of our property data, allowing Delhaize to enhance our business processes, company-wide. Having looked at a number of systems, we felt that the MRI product offered a highly flexible solution, with extensive reporting functionality. In addition, we needed a system that could accommodate the demands of local language and legal requirements, and MRI met that need.”
Headquarted in Belgium, the Delhaize Group operates in 10 countries and on three continents. At the end of 2001, Delhaize Group's sales network consisted of 675 stores in Belgium, and the Group employed over 15,000 people in its Belgian activities.
