Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust

As one of Intuit Real Estate Solutions' (IRES) first Windows clients, Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust, a leading owner, developer and manager of shopping centers throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, (and a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust “REIT”) has looked to IRES for the past several years to provide them with the tools they need to automate their processes so they can better manage their business.

Charles Pooley, Director of Information Services for Ramco, believes that IRES has demonstrated its expertise in producing powerful and innovative software solutions.

“The true genius of the IRES product lies within its underlying database software. It allows us the ability to build proprietary applications that work transparently with our accounting data and deploy them throughout the enterprise.”

A continuous focus on client-centered design is a unique attribute that Pooley also notes in IRES. “When I first started at Ramco, we used a product from a company that didn’t perform upgrades unless they were ‘client-funded’. It is our experience that IRES' approach is to proactively seek ways to better their product offerings using client feedback. This takes tremendous pressure off my department to always initiate product improvement.”

As new users of LeaseFlow, a lease-tracking module that supports the comprehensive management of the leasing process for office, industrial and retail real estate, Ramco is excited about what this software will do for them in the future.

“Our old leasing process was an amalgamation of paper-driven procedures and home-grown applications. Although we are still early in our implementation, it is apparent that LeaseFlow is going a long way to automate the leasing cycle—allowing our agents more time to focus on building tenant relationships,” exclaimed Pooley.
