A MRI DOS client since 1995, Colliers understood the importance of upgrading their software.

“The DOS product had become antiquated, and it was a goal of ours to upgrade the current software,” says Gary Rosenberg, V.P. of Finance for Colliers ABR. “We went through a rigorous review and evaluation process of providers who could meet our needs, and in the end we chose Intuit Real Estate Solutions (IRES, formerly MRI) because of the strong structure of their organization,” says Rosenberg.

Having been a client of IRES, Colliers knew the kind of organization IRES was and the support it could expect.

“Overall, the support we have received with the product has been very good. We have been pleased with the organization and the progress of their product development,” says Rosenberg.

When transitioning from a DOS system to a Windows based system, sometimes there are concerns about the difficulty in adjusting to the new product. Colliers ABR hasn’t found that to be the case with MRI for Windows. “Especially at the user level, the move to Windows has been easy,” says Rosenberg.

One of the things Rosenberg is looking forward to using is ViewPoint, an executive information system.

“Using ViewPoint will give us instant access to our information, in turn making it easier to present the information to our clients,” says Rosenberg. “The drill-down capabilities and the flexibility of the system will improve our efficiency.”
