The need to centralize their information technology

“Three years ago, we conducted a comprehensive information systems audit to evaluate and improve the business processes, tools, and infrastructure that supports our key business areas. The audit confirmed a need for a more centralized information system. Our systems were specific to each site and they were not connected to each other or to the home office,” said Steve Buxton, Information Technology Manager.

Leisure Care’s technology goals

Leisure Care had four main goals that needed to be achieved when evaluating and selecting a software solution. First, they wanted to take advantage of more current technology. Second, they wanted a product that was easy to use and functional for people throughout the company. Third, they needed robust reporting, as it was often difficult for them to obtain the information they needed from their current system. Lastly, they wanted to improve operational efficiencies and obtain data in a more timely manner.

“We wanted to find an established company with established technologies,” Buxton asserted. “We were also looking for a company that had a vision for the future, but at the same time could accommodate our current needs.”

End to end, IRES exceeds expectations

“We evaluated every part of IRES from their support staff and structure to their Knowledge Base (online support system). We met with implementation staff, performed extensive reference checks, tested the product and were pleased with what we saw,” stated Buxton.

“We also choose IRES because of the strength and functionality of the product. First of all, it is easy to use and easy to learn. Also, from an end-user point-of-view, the workflow technology will allow us to streamline on-site operations. And the system is robust enough to support complex functions and produces flexible reports,” stated Scott Billbe, Vice President and Controller.

“It was refreshing when we found IRES, a software solution that will work with us…not against us,” said Buxton.
