Mall Properties, a New York-based developer and owner of shopping centers and residential buildings as well as hotels, selected Intuit Real Estate Solutions (IRES) to help them achieve greater operational efficiency. They saw IRES as a software solution that could effectively meet their demanding needs for retail, residential and back office accounting, information management and reporting.

“Our goal in looking for a new system was to modernize our operations,” explains Craig Samson, Vice President. “Our existing system was not able to meet our growth. We were looking to develop information reporting capabilities. We needed improved access to our data to better communicate with our employees and tenants.

“We were also attracted to IRES' track record as a leading software provider. Their leadership told us that they had the resources and vision to keep pace with changes in the industry and technology,” continues Samson. “We also wanted to work with our provider directly, not through a re-seller, so IRES had an advantage there as well.”

The decision to select IRES was a collective decision that took place after reviewing multiple software provider presentations. Representatives from both the shopping centers and residential development areas of the organization reviewed the core packages, according to Samson.
